There is a quote by Eckhart Tolle that says:

“Most humans are never fully present in the now because unconsciously they believe that the next moment must be more important than this one.”

And I think so many of us know this feeling.

So often we are living slightly ahead of ourselves, waiting for things to calm down, waiting to heal, waiting for certainty, waiting for the next chapter. Meanwhile, life keeps unfolding quietly beneath our attention.

The tea grows cold beside us. Someone we love says our name. The sky changes colour for only a few moments before night arrives. And yoga gently asks us: What if this moment is not a stepping stone to somewhere else? What if this moment is your life?

In yogic philosophy, mindfulness is not about forcing the mind to be silent or becoming perfectly peaceful. It is the practice of returning. Returning to breath. Returning to sensation. Returning to awareness. Again and again and again.

Twisting Peacock Yogas Yin classes offer us such a beautiful container for this. In the stillness, we begin to notice how often the mind leaves the present moment. And rather than judging that, we simply practice coming home to ourselves with compassion.

There is something deeply sacred about truly arriving inside your own life while it is happening. Especially when we remember that none of this is permanent. These bodies are temporary. These seasons are temporary. Even the ordinary moments we rush past will one day become precious memories.

So please know that our classes are never just about stretching the body. We will always be exploring presence. Softness. Awareness. The quiet art of paying attention. if this sounds like something you would like to know more about we would love to meet you on the mat.
