Are you new to yoga? Don't know where to begin? Dont worry, we've got you!

Firstly, welcome. We’re so looking forward to having you as part of our Twisty Collective. We have beginners joining us all the time, so you’ll be in very good company. You don’t need to be flexible, strong, calm or know anything about yoga before you begin. You simply come as you are. The best place to start is by asking yourself what you’d most like to receive from your yoga practice.

If you’re looking for calm, rest and relaxation. Our slower classes are a beautiful place to begin. You might like to try:

  • Cultivate Calm

  • Quiet Rhythms

  • Yin

  • Loosen

  • Soothe

  • Our Restorative classes on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons

Yin yoga is a slow, floor-based practice where poses are held for a little longer, allowing you time to gently explore your body, improve flexibility and settle your mind. Loosen & Quiet Rhythms combines Yin with Myofascial release using massage balls, helping to ease tightness and create more space and freedom through the body.

Restorative yoga is even softer. You’ll be completely supported by bolsters, blankets and other props, so your body can rest without effort. These classes are mostly seated or lying down and may also weave in sound, meditation, breathwork, Reiki or yoga philosophy, depending on the class.

They’re all very slow, deeply nourishing and beautifully meditative. There is nothing you need to keep up with and nothing you need to achieve.

If you’d like to build strength as well as flexibility, we’d suggest beginning with:

  • Slow Flow

  • Hatha

  • Move & Melt

  • Fire & Earth

Vinyasa (Flow) links movement with breath. You’ll move through a sequence of poses while gradually building strength, balance, flexibility and confidence. Slow Flow and Hatha give you a little more time to explore each shape. Move & Melt combines gentle flowing movement with the stillness of yin, while Fire & Earth offers a stronger flow before slowing down into yin. Once you feel more comfortable and would like something faster paced, you might then move into Inspired Flow. This is our vinyasa-style class, with more continuous movement and a quicker rhythm.

We can’t wait to welcome you into the studio.
